Nerd. Turntablist. Host.

DJ Switch PDX is a DJ and professional nerd based in Portland, OR, USA.

He’s currently the primary DJ/MC for the Portland Retro Gaming Expo, the arcade at Rose City Comic Con, and the DJ for the annual Yule Ball hosted by PDXPelliarmus, Portland’s Harry Potter-focused fan activism community!

In addition to two decades of corporate clients, private events, and over $200,000 in charity raised, Switch is also a proud member of the Portland Ghostbusters fan charity organization, an active member of the Hit Squad DJs Crew and the official live show DJ for the Portland-based, award-winning hip hop artist Mighty!

After growing up in the family computer store, Switch began DJ'ing at just 14 years old in 1998 as a way to marry his love of music and technology. Switch became both a working musician and an accomplished photojournalist in college, and has been a podcast and digital media producer since 2009.

DJ Switch has provided his services for the smallest comic shops and breweries, the hottest night clubs and the biggest conventions. Switch’s credits also include radio and television performances, judging talent shows, and most recently producing content for Twitch and YouTube, proving that Switch can bring his big, dorky, fun-loving personality to any audience at any time.

You can currently find Switch streaming his request show Wednesday nights at 7pm Pacific on Twitch.tv/DJSwitchPDX, or subscribe to his YouTube channel and join the international DJ Switch community on Discord for even more fun!

“DJ Switch provides everything you’d want from an event DJ – he brings an incredible library of music, he gets the crowd going, and he makes it look like fun!

But he’s also gone above and beyond that to make my fundraisers a success, from helping me book performers, to emceeing the show, to suggesting better ways to set up and organize the entire event. I couldn’t continue to put on events that raise funds for folks in need without DJ Switch, and I wouldn’t want to.”
